COVID-19 Precautions:

We will follow guidance from the Connecticut Office of Early Childhood  (OEC), the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and the Eastern Highlands Health District regarding the use of masks and update accordingly.

The current guidance does not require masks to be worn outside but families are welcome to mask if they so choose. We ask that everyone be courteous to other hikers about respecting personal space requests and will defer to parents and guardians to remind their youth about what levels of distance they should be maintaining.

Households who experience COVID-19 symptoms will be asked to refrain from attending hikes until a negative COVID-19 test has been received, OR 10 days have passed since symptoms started with no symptoms in the 24 hours before returning.

Households that test positive for COVID-19 will be asked to refrain from attending hikes for a minimum of 10 days with no symptoms in the 24 hours before returning.

Households identified as a close contact to a case of COVID-19 will be asked to refrain from attending hikes for the quarantine period recommended by the EHHD.
