Employee Assistance Program
The Town provides a comprehensive employee assistance program for our staff. Services include mental and behavioral health outpatient and supportive services for all ages; treatment for substance abuse; assistance with stress, marital and family problems, emotional problems, addictive behaviors, drug and alcohol abuse, job-related problems, and legal and financial referrals.
Below is the EAP program's current newsletter.
Who is Eligible?
All employees and their partners, and family members who reside in the employee's household, plus other legal dependents that are covered by the employee's health benefit plan.
Is the Program Confidential?
Yes. EAP services are provided in a professional and confidential manner at locations away from the workplace. No information regarding participation in the program will be released to anyone without the written consent of the employee, unless otherwise specified by state and federal law.
How Much Does It Cost?
The EAP provides our staff and their eligible family members with assessments and short-term problem resolution at no cost to the employee. If the problem cannot be resovled within several EAP visits, and inpatient or outpatient treatment is needed, your healthcare plan may pay all or part of the cost involved. The EAP will help find the most cost-effective affordable services for you.
How it Works?
Self Referral: Most requests for assistance will be initiated by an employee or family member directly by calling the EAP Assistance phone line, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Direct Referral: Management may refer employees to the EAP if job performance or conduct on the job seems to be affected by personal or job-related problems. In the event of a supervisor referral, information about your contact with EAP will be relayed back to management only with a signed release of information from the employee.
