The Town of Mansfield has announced that residents are being offered an extended time to submit tax payments normally due no later than February 1, 2021. Per Executive Order 9R, recently authorized by Governor Lamont, the Town of Mansfield has elected to provide Mansfield residents with an extension until April 1, 2021 to pay the second installment of Personal, Real Estate and Supplemental Vehicle taxes. After this point interest will accrue at a rate of 1.5% per month starting from the original due date. No application process is necessary to take advantage of this extension.
Non-residents, such as landlords and commercial properties, must apply and be approved for the deferment program. The application form is available on the Town of Mansfield website on the Revenue department’s web page at http://www.mansfieldct.gov/308/TaxRevenue-Collections.
In an effort to continue taking precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Town Hall remains closed to the public. The Revenue Collections Department encourages residents to submit tax payments through the mail, process them online (for a fee), or place payments in the secure drop box located outside of the Town Offices at 4 South Eagleville Road. For special circumstances, visitors may schedule an appointment by calling 860-429-3307.
