Welcome to Southeast Elementary School!
It is with great pride and enthusiasm that I welcome you to our website. Southeast is a home away from home for our 250 students and our neighborhood families. We have earned a reputation as a top school in the state and we work hard to ensure that our children receive the academic, emotional and social support, while also providing a physical environment that allows everyone to feel safe and secure.
The faculty at Southeast are outstanding educators who work hard and are passionate about teaching and learning. Through professional development, they stay abreast of the Common Core State Standards and the approved Mansfield curriculum, delivering engaging, high-quality instruction every day. Southeast teachers and staff are motivated to work collaboratively to raise achievement of students and maintain the excellent reputation that Southeast School proudly holds in the community.
Our PTO is the golden thread that supports our successful partnership. If you are a member of our community, please become active and help us continue to grow together. We are a dedicated community of students, teachers, and parents working together to provide all children with a positive and productive school experience.
Southeast believes in the philosophy of the Schoolwide Enrichment Model created by University of Connecticut's Drs. Joseph Renzulli and Sally Reis. We provide opportunities for students to excel through building on academic and individual strengths and interests. We engage in Schoolwide Enrichment Clusters, bringing together students and teachers who have similar areas of interest. This creates a unique and rich learning environment for both the teacher and students.
If you would like to have a tour of our facility, or if I may provide more information to you, please reach out to me. I look forward to hearing from you.
I will be updating our school community about things happening at school through the use of a blog. You can link to it here:
