The Mansfield Downtown Partnership thanks everyone who joined us for our Fourth Annual Winter Welcome on Saturday, December 5, from the downtown businesses to the choral groups to the visitors!
Hundreds of visitors enjoyed treats, sales, and specials at participating businesses, watched as UConn Dining Services' talented staff create ice sculptures, shopped for gifts from local vendors, and took part in fun, hands-on activities on Betsy Paterson Square.
The UConn Marching Band Tubas announced the arrival of Santa Claus, who visited with friends at Barnes & Noble UConn at Storrs Center. The Tubas then strolled through downtown, providing some musical cheer for visitors.
The choirs from E. O. Smith High School, Mansfield Middle School, Ashford School, and Hall Memorial School (Willington) delighted visitors throughout downtown before convening on Paterson Square to lead a Community Sing-Along to conclude the day's festivities.
