The Mansfield Downtown Partnership invites you to celebrate the start of the season with music and more! Our 6th Annual Winter Welcome will be Saturday, December 1 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM in Downtown Storrs. Enjoy a variety of fun activities, check some names off your shopping list, and join in a community sing-along! Winter Welcome is open to the public. All activities are free unless otherwise noted.

Deck the halls!
Pick up some greenery for your home at Storrs Regional FFA's annual Christmas tree sale! They will be set up in front of
E. O. Smith High School (1235 Storrs Road)

at the Ballard Institute & Museum of Puppetry (1 Royce Circle)
Part of the Ballard's Fall Puppet Performance Series, this is a ticketed event. There will be two performances, one at 11:00 AM and another at 2:00 PM

The Eastern Highlands Health District is partnering with Hartford Healthcare at Home to offer a flu clinic at E. O. Smith High School. Flu shots are available to adults (18+) & children (age 4 to 18) as long as they have had a flu shot in the past. Please see your primary care provider for first time flu shots for children. Shots cannot be given to any child under age 4.
Please bring ID & copy of your medical insurance card. Shots are free for those without insurance.

Visit with a jolly friend!
Look for a special visitor to arrive outside Barnes & Noble UConn (1 Royce Circle) at 2:00 PM!
He will visit with friends inside the store until 4:00 PM.
Children will receive a mini candy cane, their adult will receive a coupon for 20% off one book.

Stuff-a-Cruiser on Betsy Paterson Square!
The Mansfield Resident State Trooper's Office will collect donations of unwrapped toys or gift cards for children on Betsy Paterson Square.
The toys and gift cards will be donated directly to families in need in Mansfield by the Town of Mansfield Human Services Department.

Meet a Fire Fighter!
Look for the Mansfield Fire Department will have a fire truck near Betsy Paterson Square - Children can sit inside and talk to real life fire fighters and EMTs!

Ice Sculptures on Besty Paterson Square!
Talented staff from UConn Dining Services will create works of art from blocks of ice!

Keep the celebration going! Enjoy dinner downtown then head to Jorgensen for this special event when the Boston Pops kick-off their holiday concert season right here in Storrs!

Parking in the Downtown Storrs Parking Garage is free for the first two hours and just $1/hour thereafter, with a daily maximum charge of $8.
