Welcome to Annie E. Vinton Elementary School!
Our school of 270 students and 60 staff members is located on Stafford Road (Route 32) in Mansfield Center, about halfway between the University of Connecticut and Eastern Connecticut State University. I am proud to say that we are a neighborhood school full of fabulous children, dedicated staff, and supportive parents. Together we are known as the "Vinton Family."
Vinton School opened on January 27, 1952. The School is named after Annie E. Vinton, who lived in the Eagleville section of town and served for many years on the Mansfield Board of Education, the UConn Board of Trustees, and in the Connecticut State Legislature. She devoted her life to improving the lives of children and providing additional quality educational opportunities for all learners.
