Calling all goblins, ghouls, and ghosts! Head to Downtown Storrs on Saturday, October 30 for some Halloween fun!

Calling all goblins, ghouls, and ghosts! Head to Downtown Storrs on Saturday, October 30 for some Halloween fun! 

Children of all ages are invited to dress in their Halloween best and trick-or-treat at participating businesses from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. Trick-or-Treat in Downtown Storrs is free to attend, open to everyone, and will be held rain or shine. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

To accommodate this event, the following roads will be closed from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Saturday, October 30:

  • Wilbur Cross Way from Elsie Marsh Way to Royce Circle
  • West Access Road (behind Kathmandu Kitchen & Bar)
  • Royce Circle from Wilbur Cross Way to Dog Lane
  • Dog Lane from Storrs Road to Royce Circle
  • Bolton Road Ext.

The Downtown Storrs Parking Garage will be open as normal during this event. To access the garage, please follow Charles Smith Way to Wilbur Cross Way then Elsie Marsh Way to Royce Circle.

Parking in the Downtown Storrs Parking Garage is free for your first two hours and $1 per hour thereafter. Additional free parking is available in the Dog Lane Lot (near 9 Dog Lane, free with a 2-hour time limit). On-street parking will be available on Storrs Road (Route 195); on-street parking is free and time-limited as signed. There will be no on-street parking on the above-listed streets beginning at noon and continuing through the road closures.

Trick-or-Treat in Downtown Storrs ends at 5:00 PM but the fun continues! Walk over to the Mansfield Community Center for their Annual Halloween Party and Trick-a-Trunk. Enjoy fun games, a craft activity, and more candy!

The Mansfield Parks & Recreation Department’s Annual Halloween Party and Trick-a-Trunk are free and open to the public. Donations gratefully accepted. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The rain date for Trick-a-Trunk is Sunday, Oct. 31 from 2:00 to 3:30 PM.
